KOMMAS#RITUAL

15.10.24 - 20 h
Alte Feuerwache Cologne

-Admission free-

Kommas#RITUAL is a concert that explores the concept of ritual through three sound worlds. The work "Mēnin" by Francisco C. Goldschmidt, a performance (UA) by Marisol Jiménez and a collective work based on the music of Christian Vásquez Miranda are three perspectives through which the ensemble will develop the program. Texts from the historical novel about Patagonia "The Museum of Dawn" by Galo Ghigliotto will be the inspiration for the dramaturgy of this program and will be performed by an actress.

"...Initially it was assumed that it was a ritual burial or the cremation of a recently killed family group by paid hunters of indians. However, these assumptions proved to be unfounded as the Selk'nam did not cremate their dead and no other family members were found with the child....’.
